UK PREMIERE OF KITES ON MAY 18

On Tuesday, May 18, the stars of one of the most ambitious and truly international films to emerge from India will bring a touch of Bollywood romance, Latino passion and Hollywood action-adventure to the Red Carpet in London's Leicester Square Odeon West End cinemas. On the red carpet, you'll see the who's who of the world cinema including actor Hrithik Roshan, Mexican beauty Barbara Mori, director Anurag Basu. Producer Rakesh Roshan, Hollywood director Brett Ratner, Music composer Rajesh Roshan and some renowned British celebrities who'll be heating up the proceedings in London.

This is the first of the many world premieres coming from Reliance Big Pictures and what better way to kick start the proceedings from the U.K. After the biggest Bollywood premiere which took place a good three years ago where we saw the gorgeous Shilpa Shetty grace the red carpet with Anurag Basu for their film Life In a Metro, this is Basu turning big and lucky the second time in London. What's to be seen is, will Shilpa Shetty and her U.K based husband Raj Kundra be one of the many who'll be walking down the red carpet? Come May 18, we'll soon find out.

Kites is the widest ever release for any Indian film production to date and heralds a new milestone in international filmmaking. The film is directed by Anurag Basu (Life In A Metro, Gangster), one of the most forward-thinking directors to emerge from India, fearless in his vision of breaking the conventions associated with Indian filmmaking, Kites stars Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan who sets screens ablaze with the on-screen chemistry he shares with smoldering Mexican beauty, Barbara Mori, the South American screen icon who has been creating waves across the international film circuit.

Kites will be released across the UK by Reliance BIG Pictures on May 21, 2010.

Jamais vu autant de teaser pour un film... à croire qu'ils ont passé tout ce temps à ne tourner que des bandes annonces !

Je suis à Londres, et je ne pourrai pas aller à l'avant-première parce que c'est ma semaine d'examens! 

Et ce serait pas sérieux de perdre 3 ou 4h à patienter dans le froid, avec risque d'attraper la crève, juste pour apercevoir le beau Hritik...

Il me donne presque envie de le voir, ce qui n'était pas gagné au départ.

A ma grande surprise, j'ai passé un très bon moment avec Kites.

Les critiques sont justifiés et l'alchimie du couple Hrithik - Barbara est très forte malgré un scénario complètement prévisible.
On regrettera juste de vrai "méchant", Kabir Bedi est vraiment sous-utilisé et c'est bien dommage.

J'ai eu l'occasion de le revoir récemment, Je confirme que c'est un film qui mérite d'être vu et qui est loin d'être aussi mauvais qu'on pouvait le craindre compte tenu des péripéties de sa réalisation et de son montage.
